IMMOBILISER SYSTEM

Introduction

This Australian Standards approved immobiliser provides two circuits of automatic engine immobilisation operated by rolling code random encrypted remote control. The system will provide visual confirmation via the vehicles indicators and dash mounted high intensity red LED. The system may provide keyless entry and can be upgraded to provide full alarm functions via siren and sensors additions

Proudly Australian

Designed and engineered in Perth, Western Australia

Operation

Arming procedure while ignition is off

The system will arm immediately if the main button of a valid remote control is momentarily pressed, the doors will lock and all security functions will become active

Disarming procedure

The system will disarm when the main button of a valid remote control is pressed

Auto Arming

The car's engine is automatically immobilised 40 seconds after the engine has stopped. The auto-arming feature is disabled while the system is disarmed and the ignition switch is in the ON position

Available for light trucks

The P355 system is also available for light trucks which use a +24 Volts battery supply, click here to see P355-24V

Immobilisation

Dual Immobilisation Circuits

The system features two independent 30 Amp rated, normally open immobilisation circuits, which break engine critical signals in the vehicle. Starter motor, fuel pump, fuel injection, main ignition are commonly immobilised circuits

Safety circuitry in case of power failure

System sources alternate power from ignition if main power is lost

Third circuit of immobilisation (optional)

Additional immobilisation circuits can be added to conform with insurance company requirements

Component protection against harsh road conditions

All relays are fully encapsulated to provide protection against dust and moisture

Controllers

Rolling Code / Code Hopping

Rolling code encoder with over 18,000,000,000,000,000,000+ code combinations, transmitting via 433MHz PWM RF signal

Controller Type

Uses two black ABS plastic remote controls with long life Lithium batteries

Large system memory

Allows system to track three controllers

Controller re-programming

Service technician can delete lost or stolen controllers from memory

Compatible Remotes

This system comes standard with REM-111, but is compatible with these remote controls,

Remote battery life

Two CR2016 Lithium batteries have a expected average life span of between 9 and 18 months (depending on usage). Battery manufacturer may vary due to availability of stock. See the GP battery manufacturer website.

Wiring

Security wiring

All cables extending from the control module are black and same diameter. Identifying wire tags are removed by the installer during installation of the system

Plug and play for service

Designed to allow easy access for service technicians. Plugs and sockets are located inside the main control module to protect against access by thieves

Security housing

Connector plug is enclosed within module case to prevent access by thief

Stealth wiring

Cutting any immobilisation wiring will still leave the car secure. Bypassing security is not possible by simply removing the system from the vehicle

Override

Emergency Personal Identification Number (PIN) override

If the valid controller are lost, stolen or broken, the user by over-ride the system by enter the secret four digits via the ignition switch

Alterable PIN

A factory programmed PIN comes standard with each system. It is recommended the owner of the system changes the PIN to a new, easily remembered number

One shot override

Immobiliser always re-arms to protect vehicle. Re-enter PIN if vehicle needs to be driven after auto-arming has occurred

PIN card

A record of the factory programmed override PIN is supplied on handy wallet sized card

Visual Output

Super bright red dash LED

This LED flashes to inform user when system is armed. The LED is mounted on the driver's side dash and is visible from outside the window

Arm/Disarm confirmation

System flashes car indicators when arming or disarming

Alarm illumination

System flashes car indicators when thief triggers alarm

Audio Output

Negative siren output

Can be used to trigger car horn relay or siren

Arm/Disarm confirmation

System sounds a siren or horn when arming and disarming

Temporary arm/disarm chirp disable

Momentarily press the second button of the remote control before pressing the main button, the siren will not chirp during that one operation

Intrusion Detection

Doors, bonnet and boot monitoring

Triggers alarm system if intruder opens any protected entry point in vehicle

Audio glass breakage detection

Uses the sound of the breaking glass to trigger (not vibration)  GBS-4XR.

Accepts plug-in Ultra-sonic sensor

Sensor produces a 40KHz sound wave and measures echo to detect intruder,  ACC-001.

Accepts plug-in single zone microwave sensor

Sensor produces a microwave field to detect intruder,  ACC-003.

Accepts plug-in dual zone microwave sensor

Sensor produces two microwave fields, exterior field to sound siren as warning, interior to trigger alarm in full,  ACC-004.

Accepts plug-in single stage shock sensor

Sensor measures vibration subjected to vehicle to detect intruder,  SEN-002.

Accepts plug-in two stage shock sensor

Sensor measures two levels of shock, soft shock to sound siren as warning, heavy shock to trigger alarm in full,  SEN-006.

Compatible with tilt sensor

Sensor measures vehicle angle with respect to earth, triggers if angle changes - no response to vibration  SEN-004.

Central Locking

Locks and unlocks all doors

System can trigger factory central locking, aftermarket central locking or central locking relays

Variable pulse time

Extend pulse length to drive pneumatic central locking systems (Mercedes)

Automatic re-locking

System will re-arm and re-lock doors if previously disarmed by remote control and doors remain closed

Anti-hijacking protection

System locks doors when ignition is turned on, unlocks when ignition is turned off

Dual stage unlock

Allows user to unlock driver's door before unlocking all other doors

Specifications

Current draw

<10mA average while armed

<250mA disarm (and for no more than 39 seconds after ignition is switched off)

Wide Operating voltage

Operating voltage +9VDC to +15VDC

Operating temperature

-20 degrees to +85 degrees for equipment designed to be installed within vehicle cabin

Operating temperature

-20 degrees to +105 degrees for equipment designed to be installed inside engine compartment

Polarity protection

The system circuitry is design to protect itself against accidental battery polarity reversal. This can happen when replacing the vehicle battery

Independent indicator power fuse

System uses independent fuse to power indicators, ensures short circuit in indicator circuit does not affect system operation

Short circuit protection

The power supply wire to the system is protected against an internal fault within the system

Convenience Functions

Panic / Car Finder

Press and hold second button of remote control to cause horn to sound and indicators to flash

Electric window closer

Provides signals used by electric window closers, system will close all electric windows when armed by remote control

Courtesy light switch activation

System switches courtesy light on for 30 seconds or until ignition switch is turned on, when disarmed

Electronic boot release

Press and hold the secondary remote control button, while system is disarmed, to activate boot release output. The indicators will flash four time each time the boot release signal is sent
